  1. This CD-ROM is a compilation of applications, tools, and media files for 
  2. GRAPHICS enthusiasts. A wide variety of operating systems AND environments 
  3. are supported.

  5. The directory structure is arranged as a natural guideto the discs contents.
  6. The ROOT directories indicate the operating system or environment on which 
  7. the contained files are designed to operate, msdos, unix, win3, etc. The 
  8. next level of directory indicates the category of the application, i.e. 
  9. converter, viewer, etc. The MEDIA Directory contains examples of images, 
  10. movies, and objects. The POV material is contained in the MSDOS directory,
  11. with machine specific material in the various directories specific to
  12. the machine. The directories within the category directories 
  13. contain individual applications which have been expanded from their archive 
  14. files. The archives have been kept within these directories for rapid 
  15. transfer from the CD-ROM.

  17. Applications which are in the format of compressed archives should be 
  18. expanded to your systes harddrive, as you can not write to a CD-ROM. Programs
  19. to expand the archives have been provided.

  22. Archived applications and files for the Apple Macintosh should first be
  23. copied to the Mac's harddrive so that their file type may be changed
  24. with an application such as "FILETYPER" . The vanilla "ISO9660" file format
  25. which we use does not store the Mac's resource fork, and thus all of the files 
  26. on this CD-ROM look like TXT files to the Mac's operating system.
  27. Once their file type haseen changed they may be expanded . The resulting
  28. applications will have the appro[riate file types that were preserved in the
  29. archive.

  31. The root directory contains three files which act as road maps to the
  32. contents of the directory and its subdirectories.

  34. *.TRE is a TREE'd listing of all the subdirectories and files
  35. *.DIR is a TREE's listing of the subdirectories only.
  36. *.TXT is a full directory listing of all the subdiectories, files, and
  37.       complete file details.

  39. Many of the applications on this disc are shareware and require seperate 
  40. payment to the author if you find the apppications useful. These applications
  41. are readily identified by the documents contained either within their archive
  42. file or subdirectory. Please honor their requests for registration, as this 
  43. promotes further development of shareware.

  46. any manner, either commercial or non-commercial.
